fanboy post I bought the 1tb OLED and this thing might be one of the contest pieces of tech I own. And, because the community is so strong, you can look up practically any issue you’re having and someone has found a solution. The emulation on the OLED is really good bar a few things that haven’t quite worked yet (have to launch yuzu first for switch games to launch).
I don’t even mind the 1280x800 screen. It looks great on handheld.

If you use emudeck it comes with a tool called steam rom manager that lets you easily add the emulators to steam and you can launch them in gaming mode super easy. The only one that had issues was mariokart but that’s because emudeck picked the wrong game file to try and launch so I edited the launch commands to the correct file name and it works perfectly now.
