Hi guys,

So I’m considering to build a new pc with an i5 1600k and a 4070. I was looking at motherboards, when I found one from ROG which was a maximus Z690 hero that was $350 off, going from $600 to $250. However, it only has a Z690 chipset and I found various Z790 boards around the same price. Should I make use of the great deal for the first one or should I disregard that one and get a motherboard with a newer chipset but less features?

    Depends on the price. Z690 boards are good quality and tend to cost a lot less. RAM oc is worse on ddr5. For Ddr4 there is no difference.
