Hi everyone! I’ve been using my FP5 for quite a while now (ordered at launch), and up until today it has worked amazingly. However, today I noticed that my mobile network wasn’t working, and after checking figured out that the phone didn’t recognise the SIM anymore (‘emergency calls only’). I opened the back, wiped everything clean, took out the battery and SIM, put everything in and restarted the phone. It worked again for ~2hrs, and then unfortunately failed again. Has anyone else experienced similar problems, on FP5 or previous versions? Any possible fixes are very welcome :)

Extra info: My SIM is of the Dutch provider ‘Simpel’, which uses the Odido (previously T-Mobile) network, so should be quite reliable. Boyfriend is using the same provider and not experiencing any issues. No registered disruption / maintenance either.

I had the same problem with my FP4 and i solved it by using a new sim(my previous sim card was like 5 years old). The FP sim reader is very sensible to the wear on the sim card.

Thanks for your response! This thought passed through my head as well, so good to hear it could indeed be the problem. My SIM is also approximately 5 years old I believe (maybe even older), so I’ll request a new one. :)
