Nowadays you can do a sleep study at home with a minimally intrusive wrist band type device. You don’t need to be in a sleep lab. The “pill” doesn’t measure oxygen sats/desats, and I doubt it ever will. This make it useless for diagnosing sleep apnea. Swallowing a pill seems more invasive to me than wearing a watch-like device, which is almost what’s currently used today.
