Hi everyone, I want to buy a handheld and watched a lot of videos on youtube and read article about the different handhelds, the advantages, problems etc.

Based on these reviews, the Steam Deck is currently my favorite to buy, but none of these reviews talked about something which is imo very important: What if your majority of games which you already own isn’t on Steam?

I have a Xbox and also subscribed to the Game Pass. Whenever a title which I really like comes out (eg. Witcher 3, Street Figher VI) , I usually buy and play it on the Xbox, because I prefer a controller over keyboard and mouse. If it is in the Game Pass, I don’t even need to buy it. I have also some games on other platforms like Epic and Battle.net, but these are not that important as the Xbox ones.

Don’t get me wrong, my library in Steam isn’t small, I have a lot of games in there. It is a mix of a lot of indie titles which I collected over the years, multiplayer games and some strategy games.

I don’t plan to play AAA titles on the handheld, this is reserved for the Xbox on the big screen, but I want a handheld to play “smaller” games which don’t require the graphics and attention of games like RDR, like platformer games, Fighting games, small RPG’s etc.

Was anyone in the same boat as me? Is it worth buying a Steam Deck although you probably would need to rebuy titles which you already own somewhere else?

Thanks!
