So this is how quickly i could download games if my ISP weren’t offering early 2010’s fiber speeds…

This is the first time i was able to get it to go this fast and i’m super impressed. Quite happy with the memory card’s speed too. Not just install speed but loading times as well.

In case you were wondering what memory card it is, it’s a Samsung Evo A2 U30 512GB that i got form Amazon for £25(without any sales prices)

I’ve had issues getting my Steam Deck to connect to my Range Extender for 2 months, literally from the moment i took my deck out of the box, and i finally got it to work so wanted to share the spoils of my labor.

My nerves have been tested extensively.

Wouldn’t it be faster to put those files onto a thumb drive then connect an usb a to usb c adaptor or use a hub?

I use a hub to transfer files to the micro SD. Only takes a couple of minutes or less to transfer a few Gigabytes.

      Without a doubt.

Thing is tho, i do not intend to transfer terabytes of game data over from my PC.

Also, i do not plan to have a ton of games on my Steam Deck anyway.

In the end it would just be an unnecessary investment. My Steam Deck is more of a companion to my PC gaming rather than a replacement :)

Even though i have been playing on it more than my PC for the past two months. Super convenient.
