No , its not going to work even if you update your bios. I had 2700x paired with 6700XT and i wasnt able to use SAM.

Should be, if BIOS is updated that is.

Officially AMD doesn’t list older than 3000 series that support SAM but that doesn’t mean it cant be enable on 1000/2000+ series Ryzen CPUs.

I had it on with Ryzen 5 2600 + RX6750XT (ReBar Auto + Above 4G Decoding enable in bios) before i upgraded to a Ryzen 7 5700X, was it working correctly with older gen Ryzen CPUs ? Who knows (only AMD i guess) comparing benchmarks and games with ON/OFF results was within margin of error so i kept it on, i didn’t encounter any problems.

I have an ASUS board but you can google it where to find these settings in Asrock board and enable them.

Your likely not messing out on much with the exception of intel arc GPUs the performance difference is on a case by case basis sometimes better sometimes worse with nivida GPUs on AVG being worse with in on and AMD being hit or miss maybe good.
