Looking at this laptop at target for Black Friday. On sale for $330. Only problem is when I look up the model number I get different specs. On targets we site it has an i5 processor, 256g ssd, and 8gb memory. Is this laptop some weird one specifically for Black Friday or do you think it’s a good deal? Thanks In advance for any input

With Lenovos it is the luck of the draw when it comes to display since they source from multiple manufacturers. I have an Ideapad 3 15ABA7 and the display is an atrocious 15.6" FHD TN panel, manufacturer unknown.

I recently bought a brand new clearance Lenovo V14 G2 ALC 82KCS02L00 and it came with a very nice 14" FHD TN panel made by BOE, Ryzen 3 5300u, 4GB RAM soldered (I chucked in another 16GB SODIMM), 128GB Samsung NAME SSD (replaced with 500GB Adata SX8200), a seriously good non-backlit keyboard, and a really crappy 0.3MP webcam :D

Base spec only cost me MYR900.

There is also space for a SATA SSD/HDD but i’ll have to buy the ribbon cable separately.

Buy a notebook depending on your needs/specs. If you want one with a nice screen, there are many options available for USD400. Just what kind of screen u want matters. IPS or VA, FHD or 2.5K or more, refresh rate?

Before buying any Ideapad range, it is good idea to go to the shop to look at the screen of the model you are interested in. Also, some of their worst IPS panels are beat by some of their best TN panels… yes it doesn’t make sense…
