The price reduction was eventually why I didn’t pick the OLED version, although I’m somewhat regretting it. Then again: more money for games!

I have the same job as you just in austria - the steam deck is a god-sent for slower night shifts but please dont play not for broadcast while you work as literally that job

when the game came out my friends wanted to play it with me to “see what my job is like” - they enjoyed it a lot but i played it once and only watched them play afterwards. IT FELT TOO MUCH LIKE WORKING

There are a few “gamey” mechanics in there that dont work like that IRL but my brain went into work mode instantly and the game stressed me out way too much - its remarkably close to the real thing

If you night tv-show nightshift game recs i recommend dave the diver and death trash - those are my former and current “its a slow shift” games

I’ve never actually played a game that resembled camerawork and directing so I do kind of wonder how my brain would respond to it, whether it kicks me right into work-mode or not. Bit like lorry drivers who play ETS2 in their spare time.

Thanks for the recommendations, will certainly check those out! :)

Lorry driving is much more relaxing than live-directing

I did enjoy the story a ton though - just not playing it. My friends still finished it and even made me play the last level “because its too hard for us” haha
