Hello. I just got my steam deck, and I was wondering if you only need a some sort of “type-C to HDMI port” cable so I can connect my steam deck screen to my monitor. And also curious to know if you can already use the mouse and keyboard for the steam deck when it’s connected.

Yes, using an HDMI cable with a HDMI-USB type-C dongle would work. Your mouse and keyboard will also work if they are Bluetooth or connected via USB.
You’re gonna wanna look into docking stations. They make it a simple set up to connect the deck to a monitor and a keyboard and mouse
