I’ve been debating on if I should get this rgb backplate or not, after doing some research I’ve saw that some people say yes because it drops temperature down a bit and others say no because the added vent over the fan messes up air flow and actually heats up other components a bit, so is this safe to use or not? And for the people who have had this on their own steak deck for awhile know what are your thoughts
I don’t have the rgb version, but the same updated vented version.
It’s simply great, you can simply hear the difference and see it in temps and benchmark it. So it is simple you can measure temps and noise and fps and it all will be better with the jsaux backplate. There are great video reviews for cryobyte and bald sealion, they both put weeks of meassering and benchmark in to it and the result is identical and clear. In addition you can also change the thermal paste to Honeywell PTM7950.
In my case I can play cyberpunk, rd2, gta5 with maximum settings without hearing the fan and without overheating.
