I almost bought two G40-Pros yesterday. But while doing research I found the articles I posted. Since WD did not act transparently, I can’t trust their SSD devices. Protecting my work with reliable storage is too important for my business and clients.
Yeah, Sandisk was good back the day when it was memory card & pendrive only. I personally lost two of two of their SSDs over the years due to not having sanity checks (do not EVER even start up Samsung SSD utilities in their presence. The migration tool kills it quite dead. I’ve never seen any other SSD cross-brand interactions like that.)
