I’m excited for my first steam deck to come in the mail and I’m looking for recommendations on some good indie games that will look gorgeous on the oled screen. I already purchased Dave the diver, both ori games, inscryption, tunic, don’t starve together, darkest dungeon, and a og sonic adventure 2

I’ve recently been having a lot of fun with Slime Rancher and Stardew Valley (as well as Dave the diver but you already have that) when I’m not playing through some of the AAA favs that I have. I have both slime rancher 1 and 2 and while the first one looks great on the oled screen, slime rancher 2 is drop dead gorgeous. But the second one is in early access so I’d do some research to see if you’re okay with that before purchasing but imo both are great.

Subnautica is one of my favorite games of all time, not sure how it runs on deck.

Dredge, Limbo, Stray are great too.

Katana Zero will be THE indie experience for me. Oc Binding of Isaac, Hollow Knight, Dead Cells are also perfect.

Im checking my library atm and I can also recommend: Bloodstained Cuphead Deaths Gambit Forager Sifu, one of my personal favourites Slime Rancher Wuppo

I think you mentioned Celeste, thats a great platformer too.

Hope you have fun with any of these as much as I did

Sea of Stars! It even has a demo if you want to check it out before committing to buy it. Same developers as The Messenger.
