Steam Deck Question

Looking to get back into gaming. I’ve previously played console, but with the versatility of what games can be played on steam very interested in a steam deck. Is it feasible to play video games on the steam deck and have an enjoyable experience.

Could all 523k members of this sub NOT be enjoying themselves? :)

If you work within the parameters of the Deck, it is paradise. If you want to color outside the lines? You can (it is a PC after all - but one gimped to favor portability) but the experience will not be seamless or easy.

If you like handhelds it’s one of the best with the biggest ecosystem around it. The new OLED version is just a very recent upgrade too!

Well. thats what its made for. So yes.

It is an X86 Linux PC Running SteamOS which can run most Windows Games via the Proton feature of Steam.

Its the most affordable and flexible hand held gaming system out at this time.

You can stream your PS4/5 games to the Deck, so you can play your PS4/5 games while sitting in the front room, and the PS* is in the back of the house. :)

Then theres the HUGE emulation scene.
