So I just got my Steam Deck OLED, and so far I am very pleased with it. However, I do have an issue with the left trackpad.

The right one seems to be perfectly fine and does this nice clicking thingy whenever I slide my finger over it. The left one, however, does not. It has no haptic feedback whatsoever, it just feels like a regular laptop touchpad. It also requires more force than the right one to register inputs. Is this intended, is there something that I need to configure or did I just get a borked unit?

Make sure the config you’re testing with has something set with haptics enabled on the left trackpad. There’s also a controller tester in the main settings which vibrates both trackpads after pressing all of the buttons.

The trackpads are configured differently on the main menu UI. The haptics are always dependent on how they are configured per game as well. In the main menu, the left trackpad is just a dpad. Try clicking it down like a dpad and you’ll notice the haptics.
