    Yeah the metal plate and thermal pad are dumb. I wish the backplate didn’t have them.

      ExtremeRate makes similar backplates without the gimmicky “heat reduction” stuff.

        Any idea what the little black piece of „paper” is for in extremerate backplates? The one you pill off and stick on next to the fan

        I feel like it would look better without it

      They dont even do anything for heat management.

        That is very wrong. Every test shows the metal pad decreases temps by about 5c under load.
