I’ve been visiting an era of games (2017-2019) I missed due to not having and PS console and just life in general. Currently playing Prey (2017) and finding it amazing, playing it on max settings on my deck without at hitch and almost completed it. Looking to pick up Death Stranding Director’s Cut, Horizon Zero Dawn, or Control Ultimate Edition. Can’t get all 3 or I probably would, but just wondering about people’s experiences with these games and their performance on the steam deck.

In terms of the two others, they both are great but flawed games. Horizon is very much an Assassins Creed kind of game… lots of missions, big map, repetitive gameplay but if you are into this kind of game the story is half decent and the battle fun. Death Stranding is probably like nothing you’ve played before, insane, stupid, outrageous f’ing story and a little boring at times (it gamifies fetch quests) but a new experience if that’s something valuable to you.
TL;DR - pick Control and one of the others and you can’t go wrong.
Thank you for your reply. In terms of performance, how does Control run on the deck? Looking at other posts, people say it runs amazing and other people say the opposite.
A bigger sale will happen just before Xmas. Steam has a lot of sales plus games go on sale throughout the year.
