I have a Dell G15, Ryzen 7 5000 series, NVIDIA RTX 3050ti with 8 gb ram that I got on sale at Best Buy for $750 (originally $1k). I’m a little disappointed with this purchase after seeing so many laptops for the same price or like $50 more with better specs online (more ram, better graphics cards) and while I mostly play games like Skyrim, Battlebit, Overwatch, Source games and MMOs, I want to optimize my laptop to where I can play Battlefield 1, Starfield, and Hell Let Loose. Besides adding more ram, what are the ways I can do this without completely breaking the bank?

Adding ram should help the most. Going to 16gb with 2 8gb seems to help. Many swear by 2 twin sticks re dual channel ram eliminating bottlenecks.

Since your laptop is not that old, you could likely resell at a nice price if you wanted to upgrade to a Ryzen 9 and 4060 or 4070.
