Pretty much anything with a new Intel i5 or i7 or a new Ryzen 5 or 7 will be good enough (as long as it is not the Ryzen 5 7520U, that one is trash).
I would recommend the following:
14-inch, better performance: The HP Pavilion Plus Laptop 14z-ey000 from HP’s website, only with the Ryzen 7 7840U (which will require you to get an OLED screen but costs only $740 with both upgrades and can run better games if you ever plan on doing so)
14-inch, lower performance but good enough for medium to high settings: The HP Laptop 14t-ee000 from HP’s website, you need to upgrade to 16GB RAM and an Intel i5-1335U which will make it cost $550 in total, and you may want to upgrade to a better display and more storage
16-inch, better performance: The HP Pavilion Plus Laptop 16t-ab000 from HP’s website, with the i5-13500H and the RTX 3050 6GB for $700, powerful enough to run some fairly heavy games like newer car-racing games
15-inch, lower performance but good enough for medium to high settings: The HP Laptop 15t-fd000 from HP’s website, you need to upgrade to 16GB RAM which will make it cost $420 in total, and you may want to upgrade to a better display and more storage
