It’s the only game that i haven’t been able to start on my OLED. It gets stuck at a white screen no matter what settings i change and apply.
If you’re able to run it (on the DECK, not on an external monitor, as that seems to work) , could you please share the settings you’re using or the workarounds you found?

I had the same issue(SD oled user here) and i found a fix but cant find the link for some reason. So what I did was when you load the game, press the quick access settings(right steam button) and leave it on, if it goes away keep pressing it until you pass the white screen, then go to settings and turn Vsync off. You shouldnt have any issues when you restart the game.
Just got it to boot consistently on the OLED:
I ran the controller layout tool when launching the game & set vsync off.
Then, I set compatability to GE Proton 8-25.
Booted right to the game after that.
For a few other tests:
I went back to the controller option and set vsync back to on, and it still booted without a problem.
Rolling back to the default proton version just gave the white screen again.
I cleared out all the FF12 compat data so it would reset the proton setup, then skipped the controller stuff (vsync still on) and set proton GE 8-25, it booted without a problem again. Maybe it’s just the proton version that needs setting.

I’m having the same issue right now, but I can’t bring up the controller layout tool because my dumbass clicked the little check mark to not show it again. Do you know how to bring that menu back up so I can try your fix?
Yup, you can reset that under the game settings/properties at the bottom of the “general” page, under launch options.
