This seems like it’s been an issue for many people even over a year ago.

I’m feeling kind of annoyed I paid full price for the official dock and it doesn’t even work for basic functions.

Unfortunately, no. I made my set up so it was very easy to cycle power to the dock to get it back. :(
How long has it been happening for you? Forever? Recently? What’s your TV? Trying to figure out common denominator.
