• money is not an issue
  • never will use it for gaming, just excel and opening 200+ tabs on chrome.
  • worried if I get the i9, the arctic freezer II 360 aio, plus four additional 140mm fans won’t be able to cool the 14900. I want idle speeds to be under 40c and never go above 60c when using it.
  • I understand that I don’t even need an i7 or i9, I do it because I wanna have to PC for the next ten years and have no problems and because I can. “Futureproofing for these basic functions”
  • will I notice any differences between the 14900 and 14700 when opening chrome? Will have 64gb of ram.

Make sure you have loads of ram. 64gb should be good. About temperatures, it doesn’t matter. The room temperature has nothing to do with the temperature of your components, it only has to do with the total watts your system outputs. And about noise, Chrome tabs aren’t usually stressing the cpu to its limit, so get a good silent cooler and you are good to go.
