Hi people, tomorrow I’m supposed to buy my first Apple computer ever, a friend’s 2020 M1 Macbook Pro. It’s 13 inches, and comes with 16 GB or ram and 512 GB of storage.

She’s accepted my offer for $1200 CAD (around $900 USD). I’ve looked around and haven’t found anything around that price for the performance, but people around me all react like “that’s steep but whatever”.

What do you think?

    When new that was $1700 US. I have the 8/512GB version of that computer I use everyday, and it is fantastic. Battery life is amazing. Definitely a little more than I would want to spend on it but it is a fair price considering what apple charges for 16GB of ram and 256 GB of extra storage

    definitely a steal for that price. the m1 chip is a game changer and the specs are solid. go for it!
