Just recently purchased the Storm2 Slim for a trip and just tested it with my SD OLED to find that it won’t charge while on. I’m not sure where the blame lies, so if any of y’all could weigh in I would really appreciate it. Currently operates as such…

SD OLED v3.5.7

  • SD On > power status flashes alternately white then green/yellow combined. No charging.
  • SD Off > power status solid white > ~40w of charging per Storm2 LCD read out.

I’ve tried shutting it down, getting the 40w of charging, then turning it on. But that just nets the same result. For some comparison, here’s how my OG SD runs with this charger.

OG SD v3.5.5

  • SD On > power status solid white > ~32w of charging
  • SD Off > power status solid white > ~23w of charging

As it is now, I’ll just be relying on the airline power outlets…

I have exactly the same issue with shargeek storm 2. I found the workatound is to use the 30w charge port. The 100w port has this issue.

So I originally tried this with the supplied Shargeek cable and a 100W Anker cable, using the same 100W port like you did.

I also purchased a pack of no name, random, 90 angle cables that are 1ft…and they worked perfectly. I’m getting a sustained ~40w of charging while on and off now. Link for the curious.

I don’t know what’s different about this stubby cable…but at least I don’t have to return this powerbank now. My only guess is that maybe the Shargeek and Anker cable I used doesn’t support the PD standard that the SD uses?
