Hey everyone.

Steam Deck is officially unavailable in my region and rather than paying extra to my local importer retailers or changing the region to US on my main account, I was thinking what if I create a new account using VPN and then fill the wallet balance with gift cards. Can I purchase Steam Deck like that? Or will I not be able to purchase it because of the new account? I’m planning this ahead of the time, I think there will be some sales during christmas and I really want to buy one by then.

    Risky using gift cards. Once they ban your account, it’s game over. But using a credit card, you can get a refund and try again later

      I only said gift cards because I dont live in US and have no payment method registered in US to pay with. What else do you suggest I can do to purchase it outside of US?
