Hey all! I’m trying to find a decent price on an excellent condition used or a sim free new s23 in the UK. I’ve found a couple of options on Amazon, but I’m a bit hesitant.
I know about grey imports, and one seller has confirmed that the phone is an EU model, not UK.
Is it a bad idea to use a grey import? I know the warranty will probably have issues, but what about software updates etc? Are there any risks in that area?
G-Pay and S-Pay will probably not work, as well as online banking.
What rubbish !
My wife has an imported S22 and I’ve not noticed any issues with it but she doesn’t use g or s pay. I’ll have to check with her later.
Got it from AO and whoever the importers were (bright electronic I think?) had reflashed the software to a UK one I think. Apparently its allowed by Samsung for certain companies registered with them or something. It was cheaper than any other offer I found so we went with it.
What’s a grey import ??? You go to one country ,buy a phone ,bring it to your own country . Or you expect to.use your phone in the country you bought it in only ? The only gray thing about certain imports is they don’t pay taxes hence able to sell it cheaper . But that has nothing to do with Samsung ,it’s updates or what the idiot said above ,regarding banking stuff not working .
