Hi everyone, this might be a silly question, but I’m curious about the Steam Deck’s streaming capabilities. Is it possible to stream games from the Steam Deck to a television or computer monitor wirelessly (via WiFi) in 1080p resolution? Essentially, I want to run games on my Steam Deck, but view them in 1080p on a larger screen, such as a TV or monitor. I’m aware that the Steam Deck’s native screen resolution is 720p, not 1080p, but I’m wondering if there’s a way to bypass this limitation for streaming purposes. Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
It might be possible, but it won’t be good. There isn’t a great low latency way to stream video on Linux outside of Steam Remote Play, which would require another PC. You’d be better off grabbing a dock off Amazon and using a cable. You can use FSR to upscale your game to 1080p too.
Actually not true at all Steam Remote Play isn’t even close to Moonlight/Sunshine latency and quality So yeah if u want to stream your games just use moonlight/sunshine
