Hey All,

So a friend and I have the b.net side install of D4 but we decided to do a native install since it was free, to see how it was, and we’re noticing there is a pretty good performance improvement, even down the vividness of the colors. I was curious if this had something to do with the pre-created/pre-downloaded shaders? If so, is there a way to replicate that with the side install?

    My experience has been that the b.net install is nearly identical in performance to the Steam install. As much I want to believe the Steam version runs slightly better but nothing stands out, personally.

    So if it’s the same game it will offer the same performance since there’s nothing in steam that juices performance that wouldn’t be available in wine / proton. So just make sure that you’re using the same proton version. So that might be it. So ok.
