I have a full size 737 Flight sim (no motion), running on old i7 9 series processors. Going to do an upgrade, and decided to go with a 14900KF, 2x32GB 6600mhz CL32 Vengeance ram… What motherboard should allow me to get the best performance, not looking at overclocking the CPU. Just want a good stable system… Was looking at MSI MAG Z790 & ASUS ROG Strix Z790-E… Thoughts?

This is an amazing sim hardware !!!

With that said what Simulator are you using msfs ? Cause it got really dynamic with the latest version reality is just amazing. I am using vr and I have to say you feel like you’re there.

Amazing setup can’t wait for a tour.

Any of the above will do.

However, the best value by far is the new ASRock Z790 Nova. Good for OC, clean design, pretty much a hit.

I would honestly NOT get ASUS ones due to the price, the only advantage they have is the AI OC and quite often BIOS updates.

Not familiar with either of these but I really like my Asus Maximus Z790 Extreme if you can still find one available.

Depends what you want to do but the z790 e gaming or the Msi carbon wifi max or the z790 tomahawk max ddr5 would be some good choices, the tomahawk is good but cheaper as it has no Q code, the other two do. I’m using a z790 dark hero and quite like it.

I know what sub we’re on, but aren’t the X3D CPUs significantly better in MSFS?
