My new SteamDeck Oled is great. I love everything about it except my right joystick. I am noticing some subtle gritty/roughness when I move the right joystick along the X axis. When I move it left or right horizontally there is a gritty resistance, not sure how else to describe it. I notice no seam or nothing wrong cosmetically that would cause this. This feeling was not present in my LCD steamdeck nor is it present with the left joystick. I am wondering if anyone has experienced this, and if it is something that might wear down or go away with use? Seems like the kind of subtle thing that would be missed if sent in for repair, but is definitely a drag during gameplay.

FYI I have the same thing on my left joystick, the right joystick is fine. I would prefer not to RMA it I’m tempted to pull it apart and see if I can identify the source of the gritty feeling.

I just bought a 1TB model. Going to see if it has any issues before returning this 512 model. My 512 model also has a really sharp edge on the shell, like maybe it was put together a little unevenly. Seems like there are some quality control issues with these.
