Had my 512GB LCD since launch, really wanted the LE, and was hoping all the stuff about dead pixels wasn’t true, well did a one-minute test and of course, 1 dead pixel and one stuck red pixel in the bottom left and middle screen. I normally wouldn’t be upset, but I mean…this was a LE…why the heck did they not QC this, of course only veterans would go after the LE and they give a botched display. Anyway, returning my LE tommorow after just one day of ownership as this is B.S. and placed n order for the 1TB OLED non-LE aka Samsung panel. Very disappointed in Valve though, I was hoping due to a few others being like “Oh no mine is fine” mine would be too, but it, is not. The fear of LE panels is real, and really sucks they had to use BOE as it is now clear to me people are not exaggerating. Shame as I loved the look, and shame as I thought Valve had good QC, and with a limited model that hurts even more.

If you have to run a pixel test to find the stuck / broken pixel … why do you even care?

Not an owner of the OLED Deck but I have had PC screens with dead pixels before and they might not be visible all the time but can be very annoying in games. So running a test especially after a lot of reports about dead pixels seems perfectly reasonable to me. No need to question OP’s decision here especially if he buys new and is entitled to a faultless product.
