The tale as old as time. I have been using iPhones exclusively since the 3Gs. I have AirPods, an Apple Watch (that I’m selling as I don’t like the way it feels on my wrist), and an iPad. I currently have an iPhone 14+ and I love it. Works seamlessly and the battery life is wonderful. Even though I love this phone, I really really want to switch over to a Galaxy S23. I feel like I’m really constricted with iPhones now. I know it sounds stupid, but switching is hard as hell man. My wife uses an iPhones, 90% of my friends use iPhones, and my family does as well. I guess I’m just trying to get out of the herd mentality when it comes to iPhones. Nervous that I will get a phone I will regret getting. Rant over lol

I grew up with Macs (dad was a Mac-head) & became an early adopter for everything i[Mac/Book/Pod/Phone/Pad]. Having these devices was a no-brainer bc they were family staples & we didn’t know any better.

In fact, I still have a working [at]mac[dot]com email address. Waited in line to get the first iPhone in 2007. Switched to a newer version every year since.

Until my last in 2015 when I felt like I literally “upgraded” to the same phone 4x.

It was the same year when I started noticing how everyone & their gran seem to just have or get i[Stuff] for the sake of the perceived status.

So I switched (Moto X) & never looked back. Even if 90% of my social + professional circle then were (& still are) Apple users.

And wow. It was wild knowing first-hand how the rest of the Android-using world have been done & over with all the “new” iFeatures I was excited about through the years.

I mean, my husband (Silicon Valley person) has always told me, but we lived in an iOS/Windows/Android household & I had no reason to question what I’ve always thought to be an innovative company.

    Come see for yourself!

Current phones: Z Flip 5 (work) & Z Fold 5 (personal). Well worth the money in exchange for actual innovation.

TL:DR; I switched from overrated to underestimated. I 100% support your intention to do the same.
