hey everyone! you know how when something new comes out and everybody is excited and then a bunch of people get it and there’s several posts about this issue or that issue, dead pixels, sticky buttons, etc., and then people start to worry about their new deck? “well if all these people have an issue, maybe I do too??”

well, people come to post and ask about issues they find, but not everybody posts to say everything is fine! allow me to be one of those posts in your path as you scroll through /new like I did waiting for mine to arrive. I got my LE OLED with a BOE panel and have zero dead pixels, no mushy buttons or triggers, and absolutely everything is as advertised! I hope whoever reading this also has the same experience I did. if it happened to me, it can happen to you too. not everybody is having an issue 🙂 cheers and good luck to everybody!

What are these issues people are experiencing? I got my LE and used it for about 30 mins and it sat on my desk for a few days after. Now i realized maybe i wont be using it as i thought i would so i setup an RMA to return it. But im curious as to what issues outside of dead/stuck pixels people are experiencing. Lastly, how do you know what panel you have and which is preferred?

people have been experiencing dead pixels as you mentioned, some people have their face buttons get stuck under the shell of the deck and not raise up again after being pressed, mushy triggers (the trigger hits something internally that causes resistance). there’s also apparently an audio crackling issue i was unaware of that affects all OLED models when you use wired headphones.

as for the panel, that’s a very fluid situation. here is a post to tell which panel you have. which is preferred, however, is apparently up for debate. to my understanding, all LE models have a BOE supplied panel and the non LE decks have Samsung supplied panels. i’ve seen people going to bat for both sides, apparently BOE ones can be overclocked more easily?? or at all?? i don’t know and i’m not one to tinker like that. as long as it looks good to you, then i think that’s all that counts!
