Is there any way to get the apple watch to hard reset that it unpairs with the other device? My brother bought an apple watch from a guy but he didn’t think it through, because the guy forgot his apple id that he used with the watch and he sold it to my brother because he couldn’t solve the problem himself and was ignorant enough so he didn’t seek help from apple support (basically he scammed my brother). Now we want to use the watch but the guy doesn’t pick up our phones or answer our messages. I’d love to get help from Apple Support but on their page they say we need the ownership information, which also is accessible through the apple id of the watch… At this point I just wanna sue the guy for scamming my brother but as a last resort I’m seeking help from the internet. Is there anything that we can do without spending more money at this point?

Only the owner of the Apple ID associated with the Apple Watch can remove the Activation Lock from the device. There is nothing that you can do.
