If I crank the volume up to max on the OLED 512gb model I get significant bass distortion and it sounds really poor.
On my old LCD model I can put it up to max and it sounds great, no distortion at all and to be honest it even sounds louder.
Anyone else have what appears to be inferior speakers to the LCD model?

The new ones sound tinny.
I have the first gen 512gig and the new OLED Limited Edition side by side - I have Spotify on both and the first gen Deck sounds WAY better.
Like, no question. The original Deck speakers are better on a level of magnitude. There’s absolutely no bass response on the OLED speakers, and they feel nearly 30% quieter.
Not sure if Valve can fix that in an update but it is pretty disappointing when playing a game with explosions or race car engine sounds.
Totally. The new speakers are a measurable downgrade. A bit bummed out.
