Hiya,

I’m in need of a laptop with at least i7/ryzen7, 32GB ram, touchscreen and (if possible) a backlit keyboard.

No need for dGPU or a big ssd (will only be saving things on cloud), and we have Windows Enterprise keys so no need for a windows pre-install.

Can’t be a “buy this 16gb one and put another 16gb of ram in” as we’re not allowed to do that at work anymore (idk why but whatever)

I cant seem to find anything remotely close to what I need.

    Most business machines (Lenovo ThinkPads, dell latitude, hp probook) will allow you to spec them out as you wish if you order directly from the manufacturer. Playing around on lenovos website you can get an e14 or e16 with a Ryzen 7 and 40gb of ram for under 800 but it’s a zen 3 Ryzen.

    Why do you need an i7 if I may ask - there are ryzen 5 and i5 configurations that far surpass their counterparts (H series processor > U series processor for instance)
