So I had a 12 pro max and wanted to try something new. I’m not locked into the Apple ecosystem at all since I only owned an iPhone. I think the s23 ultra is an amazing phone and android as a whole is fairly nice.
However, I ended up selling my s23 ultra and went for the 15 pro max. I’m very surprised to say I think the 15 pro max has a better camera for photos and videos also the shutter lag is non existent on iPhone. Taking pictures of moving objects feels almost impossible on the ultra. Also, Face ID, FaceTime, I message, password management, and a few more things just feel so damn polished on Apple.
I’m very surprised myself that I actually came back to Apple so quickly. But yeah quick little rant!
Curious to see if anyone had a similar experience?
I had a 15 pro for a month, and I used an s23 ultra bevor. I am currently selling the 15 pro.
The S23 just feels way smother when scrolling and using it in general.
I really liked all the iPhone features. And I am sad to miss them now.
My girlfriend has the small s23, and it just feels way faster just by looking at her using it.
Before you ask, yes, limit frames was off
I am using a 14 Pro for my personal device and S21 Ultra as my work and everything else device. IMO, they are both great 📱. They are both stunning devices and aesthetically pleasing. Each has their own pros and cons. Side-load apps on android and controlled, more private ecosystem on iOS. Can’t say one is better than the other. They are just both excellent!
My old 11 Pro took miles better videos than my S21 Ultra. I just dont understand how Samsung can let this happen on a $1200 phone. They make the sensor, they make the chipset and still the videos are full of grain and noise.
Ha! I sold mine 13 Pro and bought S23 Ultra - and guess what? Now its sold and I am waiting for 15 Pro Max. Despite having a great camera the overall user experience with S23 Ultra was not so good and although Samsung did a great work through the years, they are still light years behind Apple.
I was a Samsung user, my last phone was a Galaxy S8. I heard the iPhone X was using a Samsung OLED screen and that they dropped the physical button. Two years later I had an iPad, another year later a Macbook Pro. The rest is history.
Currently saving up to trade in my 16" M1 Max for a 14" M3 Pro.
I’m about to go from Android to iPhone and can’t wait to make the jump.
I got to get a taste of a premium, flagship android, and I’m not gonna lie brother there are definitely some cool features, but I promise you the stability, reliability, simplicity, and just overall the more premium feel of iOS will definitely keep you happy.
I was a die hard android until I got the iPhone 13. Every reason you mentioned and more. No bloat wear (2 app stores 2 web browsers 2 voice assistants etc) iOS takes up approx 10 gigs android takes up approx 20 gigs. Ya apple all the way now
Had the s23 for 5 months, now Iphone 15 pro.
Camera of the S23 could not give me a Single clear and Not grainy photo. Maybe it was defective but goddamn.
I could also not feel at home when my parents (google and Samsung) fought over every service. I still don‘t know which passwords are saved where.
I won’t leave Apple for security and privacy alone.
I thought about upgrading to a S23 a couple of months before the 15 came out but I knew I would just wind up switching back so I didn’t lol.
Currently own an s23 which I know doesn’t compare to the ultra, switched from the 14 pro and I honestly regret it as this phone has been giving me issues nonstop (messages lagging, not getting messages, battery life, overheating. Etc) as much as I wanted to give android a shot this has not been the best experience for me.
