So I have been using a hp laptop, with 4gb ram, amd 2.2ghz processor, 1tb hdd, but I am thinking of changing it to 512gb ssd, or should I go 256gb ssd + 1tb hdd? I am a heavy user, I have design softwares and plug-ins of about 400 gb. Your help will be really appreciated 🙏

List the model please, not the specs so we can see what types of SSDs are compatible with your Laptop. Most laptops, especially older ones dont really support multiple drives. Your laptop could also support M.2 ssds which are lightining fast and could brung a new life to your laptop.

Also, look into upgrading your RAM, 4Gbs are not enough just for running windows these days, with 16Gbs + an SSD your laptop could feel like a rocket ship compared to now…

I’m no expert, but I don’t let HDDs touch any of my computers any more, especially on a laptop.

Plus SSDs really aren’t that much more expensive nowadays.
