I noticed with the update I can now control volume through the phone remote, where I never was able to before. That alone is a W for me

I’ve been able to control volume through the phone remote for ages… like at least a decade.

Yes I know. A lot of people have but again… It wouldn’t work for certain tv for some reason. Trust me I had tried everything prior to get it working and it never would.

This version includes a new visual ‘On Screen Volume Control’ indicator. Does it work for anybody and if yes, what is providing the audio to your system, ie. is it a soundbar, A/V receiver, just your TV speakers, Bluetooth speakers or headphones, etc.?

I’ve got a Samsung soundbar and as of this update, I was able to get the volume to work with my AppleTV remote! :)

Works for my Sonos setup but you can’t disable the ODD on Samsung TV’s which makes it incredibly annoying unfortunately.

Apple TV FaceTime with iPhone 11 still doesn’t work for me. Black screen. Dissapointing.

All 7 comments on this post are from accounts < 1 day old. Seems like astroturfing to get views for Macrumors, which is disappointing.

Edit: I’m seeing the same trend over at this other Apple post. Maybe it’s not Macrumors doing it. Whatever it is, it’s weird.

Do you guys know if there’s a way around the fact that my iPhone always wants to control my Apple TV through the top control center thingy (iPhone 15 Pro). If I want to raise the volume on an Instagram video or something else that is played inside another app, it just keeps controlling the ATV instead. I have not found any good workarounds either…

Sonos ARC and Sony tv. It completely broke my volume in an endless max volume or silent volume loop. I can’t watch anything anymore. I’m beyond upset. Switching settings or unplug re-plug doesn’t help

Apparently having Beta Updates on means you don’t get any updates at all…just turned it off and now I am getting latest code.

AirPlay is weird for me, streaming a video from the Brave Browser results in only the audio being streamed to the ATV.
