Valve told us we could swap LCD drives to OLED provided they were up to date.

At least one reliable source told me that his swapped 3.5.7 drive was producing some interesting things - so far, he noted that the battery indicator in Desktop mode was missing. He was pursuing a possible sleep/battery issue when he noticed this.

Reflashing from the system recovery image? The indicator was restored.

Not everything may be as it should be with drive swaps. If you have found anything like this, please share with everyone. Thank you.

My 1tb drive was reporting less maximum space after I swapped it, and my headphones weren’t working on my dock.

I ended up re-imaging and the issues went away. So while 99% of things worked there is some stuff that might be off.

Battery indicator is just tucked away in the button on the taskbar sometimes

I would be the buddy he is referring to, but it was the battery HEALTH information on Desktop mode, not the indicator itself. It was totally gone and I had done the SSD swap straight over from my LCD OG.

I have since done a recovery and reimage and it is back. Was very bizarre.

    As a side note…

I am also experiencing what *may* be odd battery drain in sleep/suspend. I am not in a game but have lost 5% battery in 10 hours off the charger (99%-94%). I could be misremembering but I swore my LCD OG had better drain than that. Anyone else noticing anything such as this?
