My apartment is tiny which means have my desk in a very unfortunate spot, right under my ac/heat unit. I use my steamdeck as a desktop for the time being and now that it’s getting colder, my heat is in a lot of the time. I’ve noticed that when i have no programs running my memory usage sits around 50% which makes it hard to do much. Is this my deck crying for help? System monitor doesn’t show any programs hogging memory.
Heat would not make memory use go up. Something you’ve installed is gobbling it up or there’s a memory leak somewhere. Is it sluggish all the time? Does it work correctly in Gaming Mode?
