I’m just checking in if this is an issue more people are facing.
So I bought the S22+ about a year back. Despite not being the high-end model, the battery would usually end up lasting a work day - from 7 am to 6 pm. I’d use it with battery saving on and as I work on construction sites the whole day I’d usually use it heavily making phone calls, checking the weather, snapping pictures of stuff we did or logging registries. The phone is basicslly my most important work tool. The metrics I had for the battery would be that each quarter of battery would last a quarter of a work day, so by 09h30 I’d usually be sitting around 75%, lunch break around 60 or 50% and so on. I’d usually get home with at least 20% battery. The thing is: it turned upside down from a week or so. I’m spending a quarter of my battery in two thirds of the time, which means I’m now having to find a way to charge my phone near the end of the day or carry a portable battery. It’s not a big deal to have one around but it’s a downgrade from what I previously had. I haven’t installed any different app, only updated the current ones. Is anyone facing the same issue? I even tried adding up the battery comsumption of each individual app to see if it matches the amount of battery spent and they don’t, but I don’t know how reliable the system’s battery manager is. I don’t want to go through reseting the phone but it’s getting annoying really…
I think something broke in the last security patch, because I am noticing the same thing on my phone.
