With the OLED Steam Decks being shipped out and some people reporting malfunctioning dpads and other functions, I had wondered if there was a way to test all controller buttons. I have seen this shared in any other OLED LE posts, including those saying the dpad is mushy and/or doesn’t work.
- Press your “Steam” button (bottom left)
- Go to Settings
- Go to Controller
- Click “Begin Test”.
It’ll walk you through various tests for functionality and then let you press all the other buttons. The buttons you press will highlight blue on the controller shown. The dpad highlights when you press all 4 directions.
Just a quick, simple way to find out if anything feels wrong or isn’t functioning. Hope I help some people.
