Hi everyone,

I bought a SteamDeck OLED on the day of its release, and I received it on 27/11 (France). Upon opening the box, it never turned on. I tried all possible combinations, differente power brick but nothing worked. I contacted support on the same day, but I still haven’t received any proposed solutions… So, I requested a refund tonight to try to move things forward. I’m a bit disappointed to have waited a week for this outcome…

Do you have any ideas on what more I could do?

Thanks for your help.

Lucas.

I’ve never dealt with Steam Support before but is it usually this slow and non-customer friendly? I’m wondering if they are inundated with requests? I asked for a refund and it’s been almost a week - they keep making me jump through hoops for troubleshooting steps that I’ve already completed.

I received an OLED last week and I’m experiencing severe performance issues. The GPU/CPU are stuck at 200/400MHZ respectively. This is with stock settings on the latest stable update. Using Powertools lets me adjust the GPU but the CPU won’t budge past 400MHZ adjusting TDP or with PowerTools. They suggested that this is a software issue because of the “Allow Tearing” setting. However, this is with “Allow Tearing” off. I initially just wanted an exchange but I’m so disenchanted with the OLED I’m going to just ask for a refund and wait until they work the kinks out.

At this point I’ve tried everything from different charger, draining battery, battery storage mode, APU reset, stock image restore, etc to no avail. Still slow as dirt taking an upwards of 1.5 minutes to boot and frame times are brutal just idling in Game Mode. Any advice from folks to move this along faster or escalate it?
