Am looking for a new phone and I really love the philosophy behind Fairphone and I do not mind paying a premium for it. I am also a LineageOS user without any Google apps so the support is a huge plus. I also like how much the device will receive updates for as I generally do with a phone for about eight years at a minimum.

I have these questions:

- Will Fairphone do any wireless charging phones soon? If not, are there any decent Fairphone 5 charging docks?

- What is the easiest way to update vendor security when using LineageOS without having to reflash to stock OS and then back to LineageOS?

- Does Fairphone allow setting charging limits? To not charge higher than 60% - 80%? If not are they considering it?

Thank you in advance.

I see you don’t get replies. Maybe others have the same problem: I don’t understand the question.

I think you’re asking if Fairphone’s firmware updates are open source and can be quickly adopted by other ROMs such as Lineage.

I don’t know the answer. Fairphone has other ROMs that it “supports”. So maybe not open source, maybe they send their updates to the peaple at /e/ with a NDA… But either way, could you clarify the question?
