I got it a week from placing my order on the day it launched and, after getting signed in and testing it out, I was disappointed to see significant downward drift on the right analog stick (not to mention the surfacing on both stick caps looked dirty) as well as the “B” button sticking inside the housing when pressed.

As someone who was lukewarm on my initial LCD Deck, of which I waited a long time before taking the plunge, I was actually pleased by a few aspects of this revised Deck that were a pet peeve on the old model, specifically the touchscreen and trackpads, both of which were decidedly less than reliable but now function perfectly on the OLED model.

I was really excited to get my hands on this given all the small quality of life changes really add up on paper and I was expecting to not have any issues like this be at play given the limited nature of this particular SKU, I assumed Valve would be paying careful attention to the quality control of each unit, but I guess I was mistaken.

I already submitted a support ticket describing my issue the same day, but nothing’s come of it as of this writing, I’m starting to doubt whether anyone at Valve will even get around to reading it.

Honestly I’ve had to RMA my LE as well, it’s arriving to them tomorrow or Friday I believe. Although I agree I wish QC was better, I think the majority of LE units that went out likely didn’t have many of the issues we see posted about or we’d probably see a lot more complaining.
