I currently have an Acer aspire A515-54, with an i7 chip and nvidia graphics card. It can barely run anything, browsing on edge is painfully slow. It even suffered from the blue screen of death once and didn’t boot up again. Had to do a new windows install for it to work again.

After the install it was still slow and cant even open chrome. Has another install done at a reputable shop. Didnt even make a difference. Processor was already at 100% even if no app was running and updates was turned off.

Decided to open up the laptop and saw that the ram slot was empty but it still came pre installed with the fixed 4 gb of ram from the factory.

So my question is do I have a defective unit or is it because i need to install ram.
