I‘ installed sunshine on my PC and Moonlight on my new Steam Deck. For testing I’ve added Cyberounk to Sunshine. When trying to start any of the two default apps or Cyberpunk via moonlight I get this message in the Sunshine log:
[2023:11:30:09:14:12]: Info: Executing: [“I:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Cyberpunk 2077\bin\x64\Cyberpunk2077.exe”] in [“I:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Cyberpunk 2077\bin\x64”] [2023:11:30:09:14:12]: Warning: Couldn’t run [“I:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Cyberpunk 2077\bin\x64\Cyberpunk2077.exe”]: System: Permission denied
I couldn’t find anything on Google about this message. The rest of the contains no error messages. Starting Cyberpunk on my PC is of course no problem.
You might try just launching big picture mode and going from there. It’s not as fast but it works great. Also Steam remote play on the SD sometimes works better than moonlight. Tip if you add a non steam game on your pc you can stream it to.
Alright without knowing more I would recommend moondeck it’s a plugin on decku loader. And you could also try reinstalling sunshine.
thanks, but I don’t think, that Moondeck will help, as the issue seems to be on the Sunshine side. Reinstalling it is worth a try.
Another thing came to my mind. I install the NVIDIA drivers with nvCleanInstall and select which components should be installed. Maybe there’s something missing.
Ok, a reinstall of Sunshine got me to connecting to the PC. I chose Steam BPM but I only see the Windows Lock Screen…
