I have an HP Chromebook that I purchased on July 1st, 2020 that I use for writing on a weekly basis and to watch things like YouTube. I don’t know why the battery has swelled, but it has. Unfortunately, due to the fact that the PC is white and silver I can’t get a good picture of it. But it’s a thin PC and It seems to be bulging just enough to keep the PC from sitting totally flat and wobbling ever so slightly when on a table. It’s only really become noticeable in the last week or so.

There are no screw holes on the PC or ventilation slats or anything like that. I actually like this little Chromebook. Is there anything I can do? It’s still working perfectly fine (fingers crossed) but I had a Lenovo yoga table break apart earlier this year when the battery suddenly swelled so I don’t want to wait until it’s too late this time. I just hope I haven’t already.

I would appreciate any help I can get! Thank you. And if you need more info, just let me know!

I’m not actually sure how I would go about doing that since there’s no seams or screws visible on the Chromebook. Where would I get a replacement battery? Are they expensive typically? I actually don’t have any money at the moment… Oh no.
