It advertises being the easiest way to get into PC gaming and I really hope that’s true and that’s been my biggest selling point along with it’s price tag. I’ve never rly been a pc gamer and find it’s a bit complicated. I barely got the tech skills to install some emulators on my laptop. Comparing the Steam Deck to competitors like the Legion Go and Rouge Alley which have better specs at only a little larger price tag but how user friendly are they? Is the Steam Deck really any easier to use then these competitors?

I have to disagree with that advertisement. PC gaming means more than just playing games on SteamOS or Windows. Even the PS, xbox, switch, etc. are computers that you game on. PC gaming is also better performance and using a mouse and keyboard, neither of which make the Steam Deck the best or easiest way to get into PC gaming. I have a PC and I consider the Steam Deck a handheld console, because it is. If what you want is PC gaming and not just a way to play games from Steam, then a miniPC can give you much better performance at a much cheaper price. If you just want to play most games on steam and be portable, then the Steam Deck is a great console for that.
